This is an improved cable support gland for the heated bed on Snapmaker 2.0 printers. There are several designs for this function available already, but mine has an additional twist - literally! In addition to providing much better support and strain relief, the gland rotates the cable by ninety degrees. This allows the cable to flex more cleanly as the bed moves during printing.
To install, remove the two screws holding the existing plastic cover and save the nuts and screws. Press the nuts into the deep hexagonal holes in the printed gland. Press the cable into the slot on the gland, twisting it ninety degrees and aligning the trapezoidal part with the heater board. Re-insert the two screws and tighten them.
Also included is a clip to fasten the controller end of the cable to the bracing bracket at the bottom of the vertical axis post. Adjust the length of the cable loop and the height of the clip on the bracket so the cable passes between the top of the linear module and the bottom of the bed support structure without rubbing on either as the bed moves over its full range of motion.
