Summary

Update 10/25/23:
As with my original grips, I have reuploaded per Thingiverse's terms of service.

Update 05/01/20:
Unfortunately, I have been forced to remove my files from Thingiverse for these grips. Alot of people seem to not understand how licenses work, and seem to think they can sell my files and 3d prints of said files online. I originally posted here to share with the community, and encourage others to remix my design into their own design. Just because you put a new logo on it doesn't make it a new design. I congratulate others that have taken the time to remix my grips into something more that have uses or functions than originally I intended. I also apologize to people who cannot access these files anymore.

Background:
After how everyone liked my original comfort grip using both joycons, I edited my design and combined it with 3dBotMaker's single grip (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2259607)

I have made a few different designs so far, will upload more as time goes on.

Edit 04/29/18: I didn't like the angles of my first design. I have taken those files down and will reupload soon.
Edit 04/29/18 #2: Files should be back up with better design of the face. I'll post picks as soon as I can!
Edit 04/29/18 #3: Made a penguin in the new face design for my wife. Looks alot better. Might still make another style of the grip. Need to play some mario kart for testing. Will let you guys know.
Edit 05/04/18: Added pictures of a single Zelda BotW grip.

Notes:

  • This design needs to be printed upright and will need supports. I have included my s3d support file if anyone wants to use it.
  • Rotating the grip 45° on the Z axis when printing helped me at least for getting the first layer to stick.
  • You shouldn't have to sand or trim the finished print other than remove supports. Just place the joycon shoulder trigger first into a slot and until it clicks and locks. Print and Play!
  • To remove the joycon, press the back of the joycon without the trigger from the backside of the grip and it should pop out easy.
