/! This is a work in progress! Some stuff might not work entirely properly. /!
After seeing a bunch of great custom accessories for 5mm-compatible Transformers, I decided to try my hand at making my own. I'll update this as new models are completed, tested, and revised as needed. I'll be testing these with PLA, but they could of course be printed in ABS or other materials as well.
5mm Peg
For those times when you need to join two 5mm sockets together. Useful for most of these designs, or if you'd like to stick some Weaponizer bits together in unusual configurations. I suggest printing this with no less than 20% infill, or else it might get a bit warped during use (or just use ABS, I guess). If you find a socket that it doesn't quite fit into (looking at you, top of Sixgun's shoulders), a quick coat of superglue, paint, or clear nail polish is usually enough to widen the post a tiny bit (and obviously, let it dry before plugging it into anything).
5mm Offset
Two 5mm sockets on a small arm, helpful for when you want to attach an accessory but it doesn't quite fit somewhere, or if you want to offset it from the original post/socket. Can also be used with 5mm Peg pieces to create chains or articulated arms. Features mechanical gear and piston detailing on top and X-paneling on the bottom.
Missile Pod
Six (non-removable) missiles, ready to (not) launch. Designed with 5mm sockets on three sides to allow it to either be mounted directly to an existing post, or with the above 5mm Peg piece to attach it to another socket. Can be chained together with 5mm Pegs to make larger banks of missiles. A variant is provided with 3mm posts on the front for attaching Siege weaponry effects (like fjschuler's excellent ones), if you'd like to do so. Available in two assembly varieties, either fully assembled or split for supports - if printing the split version, "Touching buildplate" supports should be used so the 5mm sockets don't end up wonky.
IN PROGRESS - Armor Panel
Perfect for filling extraneous 5mm sockets, either on existing figures or on these parts (e.g. on the sides of the Missile Pod). Available in both "generic X plating" and "faction-sticker-goes-here blank plating" varieties. Haven't finalized these yet, as I haven't figured out a good way to print them that doesn't require more support material than actual printed object. To be fair, I've only been working on them for about ten minutes, so...
More to come in the future, probably.
