These versatile laser cut squares make building boxes or frames a breeze. Simply cut out of 3mm wood or acrylic and glue! The recessed middle is perfect for tension by rubber band, create four and square the corners of your entire project in one go. Can also be used for squaring inside corners.
The Sketchup file is included if you need different sized squares or wish to adjust for different thicknesses of stock. Have also included a DXF that makes it easy to import into your laser cutter software. Just mind the cut order, I've paired up the cuts into two groups. An inner cutting group and an outer cutting group that drops the pieces in a tidy order.
One of the inner supports is a little bigger to overlap the corner. Round down this corner with sandpaper before you build the square for an edge that's gentile on your rubber bands.
Most commercially available corner squares are too big for small 3D, CNC and Laser work. The small squares for this purpose are overpriced. These files allow anyone to cut and build several corner squares to have on hand with just the cost of the stock material.
Economical squares to keep on hand in the workshop or classroom that assists with square corners for many different projects.
The files are set for 3.2mm or 1/8" standard stock. The Sketchup files included make it easy to adjust this for other sizes.
