Laser Cut Christmas Holidays Scene

This is a simple Christmas scene I designed so I could cut it out with a 5W LASER on my CNC machine. Each part has a continuous path around the outside so it can be cut out, with the rest of the details LASER engraved at a lower power. The small rectangles in the base at the top of the design have to be cut out too, so that the tabs on the bottom of the other parts can be pushed into them to assemble the scene. The scene is designed to be scaled to 145mm wide by 100mm high, and cut out of 1.5mm thick material. It should work with plywood, MDF and other common materials, although the one in the photos I cut from 1.5mm thick basswood which worked well. If you're adventurous you could probably even make this work in plastic sheet. In case you want to use thicker/thinner material, or make it bigger/smaller, the Inkscape SVG file is included. If your LASER cutter needs DXF files, don't worry as you can export them from Inkscape.
