Laser Cut Bruce Viney’s Matchbox Puzzle Box

(Updated 2/2/2020 - Bruce has, unfortunately, passed away since I originally posted these, and the site with the actual INSTRUCTIONS for it has since gone away. HOWEVER, I was able to find them with the Internet Wayback Machine, and I've added the PDF with the original instructions. I'd like to think Bruce would have liked that.)

This is a basic adaptation of Bruce Viney's excellent "The Matchbox" (http://homepage.ntlworld.com/bruce.viney/Free Plans.html) for laser cutters. The file is in Corel Draw format. It's a great introduction to building puzzles - cut this on a piece of 1/4" plywood (double the size of the original), which takes about 10 minutes to print & cut. Assembly & gluing takes about half an hour. (followed by an hour of drying, then in my case, an hour of sanding off the burned edges of all the rails and holders).

If you have the ability, sand off just the burned parts of all the holders and rails before you put it together. And make sure that your wood is 1/4"!
