Summary

When i had a quick search for calibration, i came across the standard cubes or stack of cubes.. But measuring three 5mm cubes that are not aligned or using a single cube does not always give me the best result.

In the past i have simply downloaded something like a 25mm cube and resized it to take a second measurement... This time around i decided to design the test print that you can see here.

This way i can measure 50mm,20mm,15mm,10mm & 5mm all in a single print while making sure they all stay in place as well..

Hopefully this will be useful for someone out there as well.

How to calibrate your printer using this model or another other.

Lets say for example my printer is using the value of "86.95" for the X-Axis steps per mm
But the 20mm cube actually prints the X-Axis at a size of 22mm, we would apply the following calculation to get the correct steps per mm.

Correct Steps Per MM = (test length * steps per mm) / actual printed length

X-Axis = (20*86.95)/22

So the above X-Axis now equals 79.04, simply adjust this in your EEPROM or firmware directly.
