Laser Cut Ukulele
Summary
This is a complete ukulele. The tuning pegs are up to you, and can be found cheaply on ebay.
Instructions
The parts fit together pretty well, it is mostly self explanatory. I just .25" dowel rods to peg the neck to the body. otherwise, I just glued the parts together using wood glue. This design is made for 5mm plywood. I purchased the tuning pegs from ebay for around $3, make sure you get the ones that go though the back (not right angle). I also included some spacers that go around the tuning pegs in the back to provide friction and keep the pegs from unwinding.
I needed to use some solid wire to keep the strings from pulling though the bridge. I tied the strings to a short length of thick wire, this kept the strings from pulling though the bridge quite nicely.
UPDATE:
I tweaked the design and added more support for the neck. Also added raster data for engraving grooves for frets.
