READ THIS

It has come to my attention that Creality have been shipping the STL files in their SD cards without any credit or license file. Now people are commenting that this is "stolen" from them. It is not. Since Thingiverse now collapses replies to comments by default, people don't see my replies to these commenters outlining how this is not even possible. So I am outlining it here:

  1. Check the date created. Creality didn't even exist when I made this (very few 3D companies even existed at all, I made mine out of old dot matrix printers). It has been known for years that many 3D printing companies shipped sample STL files that were ripped from Thingiverse without properly crediting the source or acknowledging the licensing. They did this because it was easier and faster than making their own

  2. They don't ship the SCAD files that are used to generate the STL's. If you check these, as I elude to below in the actual description, there is an alternate piece that is not in the STL files (Check line 3 for a hint).

So, apparently I invented time travel, traveled back to 2013, reverse engineered the SCAD to generate the STL's and uploaded it...

As this is licensed under Creative commons, they are allowed to ship it (without making profit from it) but they must credit the source and supply a copy of the license with it.

Over the time, as they have gotten bigger, they appear to have started respecting these and a lot of the original sample files have been removed... except for mine.

So it seems I am going to have to ask them to stop.

(BTW she is now my wife)

Back to the original description:

Our lovable squirrel friends are at it again. Somone stole somone elses acorn and things seem to have escalated to outright war.

Who will win the epic epicness of the golrious acron (Acorn sold seperately)...

So, sitting at home with nothing to do as girlfriend was just out of hospital and she pipes up with a comment well you could make squirrel chess...

The idea had been floating around in my head and of course the very first gift I gave her was the squirrel printed in wood.

This is the result. Not too bad for 8 hours or so work.

Note, it has yet to be printed as currently in midile of upgrades. Not sure if one exists already but did it anyway
