Summary

This is a simple container for storing three AA batteries.

  • Why three?
    • Well, it's best practice to remove a battery from a device while the device is not in use.

  • So what do you do with your expensive Lithium AA battery while it's out of the device for storage, but not quite drained enough to dispose of?
    • You store it in this container, along with two other spares. You can then continue using it until it's drained.

A pack of 8, quality, Lithium AA batteries are $20+
You'll want to use them until they're completely drained.

I created this battery storage container to store with my PVS-15 Night Vision Goggles all together in a small Pelican case.

This container would also be great for other applications where a device requires only one AA battery.

I've included the STL model (which will require slicing) and a GCODE file for an Ender 3 V2 Neo that prints at “Dynamic Quality.”  As you probably know, you can simply save the GCODE to an SD card and immediately get to printing.

The lid is a pretty tight fit. There's 1mm of clearance between the inner walls of the lid, and the outer walls of the body.

This is by design, so the lid can be used to lift the entire case out of a form encasement without the case opening.

None the less, it will loosen over time the more you close/open. If it's bothersome, light sanding the case may be appropriate.
