The file 'Revised Arduino Uno Student Station, Arduino In Front 3D Printer Model' is (stl) file type, size is 90.6KB.
This is an update to my previous student station. It holds an Arduino Uno, a Breadboard, a 4x4 switch array, and a 7x4 LED display.
The change is that when the students were using it, I noticed they were having trouble reaching from, the more commonly used, digital pins. Yes, it failed the play-test. I have reoriented the component positions. Now the breadboard is at the rear.
I also did a better job of positioning the contact points where the Arduino UNO contacts the student station. I have also countersunk some nut holes so that it can accommodate M2.5 bolts instead of relying on hot glue. the 16-button array is very snug, but it does fit.
The main thing that differentiates it from other designs, and the reason for the compromises made, is that it fits in an Akro-Mils 24 Drawer Plastic Storage Cabinet #10124. Each student will have a space for a single large drawer and can place their development station above their drawer. This allows each Cabinet to accommodate 12 students.
