This is remix of the Simply Backing Z by FilamentCorner rear Z-brace with the lower pieces redesigned to support the Wanhao Duplicator i3 Plus and rebranded printers (Monoprice Maker Select Plus, Cocoon Create Touch, etc).
- There is another existing rear Z-brace for the i3 Plus: minimalist reverse Z-braces by martin_au, but not all i3 Plus printers have the top screws and would required drilling. The brace pieces also have large overhangs that may be difficult to print with the stock cooling fan and duct. However, that design may be preferable if you are short on horizontal desk space as the braces in this design stick out a bit from the sides.
- The brace is simple but it is possible to bend the frame of the printer if the braces are incorrectly installed, (excessively pedantic) assembly steps are included below.
- Select an infill pattern and percentage that is good for loads in three dimensions - 30% gyroid, 50% cubic, etc.
