The file 'Nintendo 2DS XL Comfort Grips/Handles V2 3D Printer Model' is (stl) file type, size is 15.4MB.
I spent quite a lot of time designing, prototyping, and perfecting this so if you find it useful I'd greatly appreciate a couple bucks using the Tip Designer functionality if you can spare it!
Assembly note: In order to get the keying oval and cylinders to fit in their inlays you'll probably have to take a knife and cut off or sand off the excess "lip" (flashing/elephant foot) that appears around the bottom of the print that touches the print bed
My first custom-designed practical print! Please let me know what you think and if you have any comments/suggestions for improvement. I struggled to come up with a design that would secure the 2DSXL to the grips but also allow it to close so I chose to keep the 2DSXL's folding ability. Honestly a couple pieces of scotch tape keep it in place very well if you play vertically like I tend to. Conversely once I'm done finishing/painting the model I'm going to see if I can lay down a layer of silicone for a non-slip coating that will hopefully keep the 2DS in place.
