I purchased a large number of pegboard pegs that fit a (American) standard 1" pegboard. The pegs are made to fit in a standard pegboard that is 1/4 thick (probably) Masonite sheet.
My pegboard is made of steel and is much thinner than the traditional material and, it has small slots between each of the holes in order to accept the manufacture's own proprietary style of pegs and accessories
When a "normal" peg is used on my peg board it hangs down excessively because of the distance between the rear of the board and the up turned portion of the pegs. Also, the pegs front foot sometimes sits down in the slot between the standard holes. I normally just bend the peg to make it work but that doesn't always work well and it makes it so the peg wants to fall out easily when a tool is removed from the pegs.
These shims are designed to provide a means to thicken the pegboard so that pegs sit like they were designed to be without the need for brute force modification.
Dimensions can be adjusted (to some degree) by using percentages in the slicer if you need something different to fit your pegs.
Enjoy!
