the original was a great design and works well but didnt fit the standard cola and other soda bottles, this one does
i made the original bottle holder ring abit thicker and to fit 500ml bottles but never for a 1 litre bottle, although they should screw on ok, they seem way too big for this tiny bird feeder, plus the fact that the feeder is 3d printed so needs cleaning more than the shop bought ones so it just seemed a waste, although not nessersary there is a file called lock washer which can be used if you feel its needed, it would go around the bottle thread and close the gap between bottle and feeder
