There was another hexa-chainmail on Thingiverse but it was not flexible enough in both directions. Therefore, I created this symmetric version that is equally flexible. I think the backside looks better this way.
You can use it for SciFi armor or if you add some runes it would probably also fit a fantasy costume.
I added several sizes you can piece together any pattern.
The model is a little bit on the large side, depending on what you want to do with it. I would recommend about 50% the size for something like clothing.
I have now added a connector piece that can be clipped together. You can connect several patches with those. To get a stronger connection you can add some glue to the small "arms" but it is not mandatory. You can also try to weld the arms together by a quick brush with a flame torch.
