This uses 4 strings in tension to hold the cube in places, so it looks like it is floating.
If you want to have the cubes be different colors, you need to print the Green Cube, Red Cube Without Corner, and Red Corner. The corner can be superglued in place after the other cube has been interlocked.
For one print, you can print the cubes already interlocked, but it will only be one color.
For printing, you need supports (do not support the holes in the corner though), and I used 100% infill.
There are 3 strings on the outside and one on the inside. I used fishing wire to make the block appear to be floating. For assembly, tie 3+ basic knots to on end of the fishing wire, so it can't slip through the hole, and then superglue the end in one hole. Feed the other end through the opposite hole and tape it down to the cube. Superglue the other end in place. After the glue dries remove the tape. Do this for all four strings. I did the "inside" string 3rd, and I made it slightly shorter than it should be, so on the final one, I could pull it tight without the middle string being slack. Finally, cut the excess string and enjoy!
