A unique distributor of ground coffee beans for its time.
It was created on the basis of a gear bearing and relies on the planetary principle of rotation of five independent circles around the central axis.
The tool was created by me and first published in 2019.
4 years after, Weber produces an improved version of the distributor, which uses a similar principle of operation.
For all the time since the publication, this Thing received almost 6.000 views, around 1.000 downloads, 100+ likes, 150+ additions to personal collections.
I'm afraid to imagine a possible production run of moonraker...
Wishing Weber success!
The coffee industry is moving forward rapidly.
And I want to wish all enthusiasts not to stop sharing their developments and continue to inspire.
Good luck!
PS
Those looking to print this thingy first check out Umikot, which has a more advanced design based on a very similar concept.
=== Original description from 2019 ===
This tool is just a bit more complicated than a regular WDT tools made of corks.
I found that those geared bearings have interesting rotation pattern and thought it would be nice to use it for more even distribution of coffee in the basket.
I used a 0.4 mm wire for beadwork from a hobby shop, but you can try a guitar string.
This one is made for La Pavoni postmil baskets.
Fit the following basket:
d52mm
D60mm
