Summary

NEW 2021 UPDATED TOOL HOLDER

Edit (10/2021) - I've added the .f3d file for the newer Version 2 tool holder for those who want to tinker around with it in Fusion360. The mesh to body conversion is pretty rough, so some parts may need repairing.

Having recently upgraded to an Ender 5 Pro, I decided it was time to update my popular (thanks to you amazing folks!) tool holder.

Added 4 variants of the new Ender 5 & Ender 5 Pro tool holder (now Version 2).
New features of the V2 tool holder:

  1. Relocated spatula to the side
  2. Shifted smaller wrench slot
  3. USB holder now includes slot for the cap ('USBcap' variant)

Check out the 'Post-Printing' tab below for more information on the updates and variants made.

I would like to thank everyone for their wonderful feedback and makes, without which these changes would not have been possible!

Information below is for the OLDER model which still works but has been improved by the new V2 model.

EDIT: Added a GAP version which increases the length of the tool holder so that the spatula does not rest against the frame. It is not tested so print at your own discretion.

This is a tool holder for all the stock tools provided with the Creality Ender 5. It snaps on to either sides of the Ender 5 and comes in 2 versions: with and without the Creality Ender logo.

It is compact and does not get in the way when handling the printer. Additionally it can be installed and re-positioned without any additional screws, etc.

INSTALLATION/REMOVAL:

Simply press it firmly into your desired corner until it clicks. When removing I suggest using a thin piece of metal (the scraper works fine for me) to wedge the clip out of the frame before pulling the holder out.

If you are having issues with the clip breaking, you could also use a heat gun or soak the clips in hot water to make them more flexible and quickly clip them on to the frame. Thank you rindoze for this awesome tip in the comments!

ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS:

This is not 100% my creation (it is more of a remix) as I took the PSU tool holder by Pickle_Rick_1 at https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3026123 and combined it with the Ender 5 tool clip by kilroy01 at https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3361395. Thank you to both creators for the wonderful models.

Hope this helps and happy printing!
