I had two TITAN Xs and I was doing a lot deep neural network training several months ago. I assumed that the two card should handle the heat well and they supposed to have some kind of safeguard to prevent the card destroy it self. It turns out I couldn't be more wrong. One of my cards died after an intensive training session. Worse part? It did not die completely but work under an unstable manner. It caused me a lot of trouble and huge time wasting on isolating and identify the problem.
Now I have two new TITAN XPs, I don't want to face that trouble again so I created this fan duct. Hopefully, it can prevent the same problem from happening.
This fan duct also fits new GTX 1080 and the old TITAN X as well. I can't confirm the compatibility with other cards but I think it will fit the high-end nVidia card.
I designed this fan duct to fit the fan and the filter (as shown in one of the photos). The filter is cheap and you can find one on amazon.
