A printable driveshaft that you can actually use in your crawler !
You will need four M2 screws (6mm) and three M2(10mm) for each U-Joint. (You can see them in the pictures)
You can also use 6mm M2 grub screw to make it fit better in some context if there is not enough space for the protruding screw heads.
Yon can adjust the length of the sliding shaft easily by modifying the Z scaling in your slicer. It's 100mm long so 50% in the Z-Axis would mean 50mm, 20% for 20mm and so on...
It's surprisingly sturdy.
I didn't even expect it to work at all when I started the design, I was doing it just for fun and to learn. Somehow it did not shatter in a million pieces in the first 5 seconds. Actually I did not manage to break it even when trying. (And I mean actually trying... Like all 4 tires stuck in the rocks, nothing moving at all and I went full throttle. I could tell the motor was really struggling and the tires were heavily gripping and deforming but the U-Joint did not explode !)
So yeah... unexpected epic win !
Enjoy !
