I love dragons eggs,
But I thought why aren't the dragon eggs algorithmic?
They are natural-ish. So I modified the algorithm for flowers that I have made based on the 137.5 critical angle of petals.
I used a flattened sphere as a "scale"
I tried rotated cuboids and cylinders, but I was not happy.
You can try fiddling with the numbers in openscad to see what types of eggs you get.
Perhaps a diamond shape may work.
This was designed as a display box for a small sculpture or ring. I have a friend who wants to put a light in it and use it for LARPing.
Sounds like great fun! I printed the base hollow and the top with 10% filll.
I will post pictures once I paint it.
