Summary

D4 Dice.

For this D4 I chose to make it taller that in is wide, as I've previously had issues with printed die, as they are so light and, when without sanding, sometimes very inconsistent on curved faces, where they end up coming to rest on the curved edge. The taller design (mostly) eliminates this. Additionally, being longer and more rod-like, it's more intuitive to roll it as you might a D1 rod die, making it more reliable still.

Colouring the number holes is pretty simple; anything from sharpie to spray paint works, then a light sand to remove any spillage, and you're good to go :)

As many other D4 designs on thingiverse note, this dice, while being a D4, has only got 2 sides (if there were no fillets)

Print 60Ëš offset from standing up on end with supports, as shown. This allows the number holes to look nice, while also no rigging the die. I printed the first one directly on its end, and although I was not able to replicate it in a throw, the dice was able to stand on end if carefully placed that way; due to the way it was printed, it had a flat spot. I figured by rotating the die to print, the flat spot would be moved well out of the way of the centre of mass and if the die were to be placed on end and fall towards the flat spot, it would not rest on said flat spot, as it could before.

Yet again a print with absurd infill. I went for 100% just to make the die that little bit heavier (added 3g (double), and 9 mins print time which I was pretty happy abt (vs. 15% infill))

Had the resolution at 0.1, just as it's a small print and I wanted it to come out as nice as possible.

As always, I checked "no" for rafts on this design, but I always print with a very wide brim. Personally this is a good habit to get in to, as wasting a bit of plastic on a wider brim is much less time and plastic expensive if it saves a print from warping or having adhesion issues. For me this is especially important, considering the cheapness of my printer, and its (my) history with adhesion issues.

EDIT: I've added a D2 version for it now
