The file 'Customizable Cryptex 3D Printer Model' is (stl) file type, size is 8.8MB.
The cryptex was a graduation gift for the class of 2017. My robotics team wrote thank-you notes on pieces of paper and packed them into the cryptex to be given to the seniors during our end-of-the-year banquet. The rings available to print are intended to spell 1-3-5-1 as the code, but that can be customized with their placement.
Enjoy! :)

UPDATE (June 2019)
In the images above, the purple cryptex is the supports version, and the teal one is glue. You can see the change in the bottom piece, as the supports version has cutouts in the walls that enable them to be bent to allow the rings through.
ORIGINAL (February 2018)
The model was made in inches, so for most printing applications it'll have to be scaled up by 25.4. I primarily printed in PLA and ABS but I'm sure it'll work just as well with other related materials.
Printing time for each part alone is about 1 hour. In total, it's somewhere around 4-8 hours to print everything.
I designed the top assembly in two pieces to remove the need for supports, and separated the bottom assembly in order to keep the rings in one place with superglue.
