The file 'Chess Set 3D Printer Model' is (stl) file type, size is 5.5MB.

Summary

USE SUPPORTS set to everywhere, some overhangs on some pieces.

EDIT: 1/30/2019 - Added 2mm to Rook to bring it inline with the Knight (Rook_Taller.STL)

EDIT: 1/30/2019 - Shrunk the Pawn whose base is now 32.5mm as opposed to being the same base as all the other pieces - The original base was too big and now falls more inline with the standard, still takes more than half of a 2" square and should be right at home on a 1.75" square, but it wont be overshadowed by the much taller pieces. The king is 4" tall, think about it. (New file is Pawn_smaller.STL)

My first chess set, this is in no way an officially sized set, but I took care to make sure it looks OK on a 1.75" square (2" MAX) - I have another one in the works but these things take time to sketch out first.

Created in Rhino 3d as I'm transitioning from 3dsMax
Experimenting with 10% cubic infill for weight on the K + Q, 3 walls, and 0.1 Layers.

King scale: 1.5" (38mm) diameter x 3.8" (97mm) or 4.0" to top of crown. Yes it's tall but also skinny so it wont crowd the other pieces.

If printed at full size you need a board with MINIMUM 1.75" squares or MAX 2" squares, you can always change the size in Cura.

Check pics for piece scale vs board sizes and max recommended.

Enjoy, and please post makes.
Let me know how you make out with various infill (curious how the Knight can do with really low numbers)
