I purchased a 25mm calibration standard from AliX. Unfortunately it was reading about 0.025 mm too much on my micrometers. So I decided to grind it down as close as possible.
I made this holder to prevent the surfaces to become concave.
Tolerances are pretty tight...
Insert calibration standard into the holder and push gently on the top while grinding on a +1000 grit stone.
Edit: 0.0025 -> 0.025 mm
