This is a filter brace specifically for a 20-inch box fan from Family Dollar that was $22 and a washable K & N 20" x 20" x 1" MERV 13 filter part number HVC-13-12020 which ran $97.19 including tax from eBay but hey it's washable so it will be cheaper than disposable filters in the long run
In the pictures, there is a 1-10mm wide test print, 1 narrow failed print, 1-30mm wide print, and 3-20mm wide prints
The .stl is for the 20mm wide model
I used PETG so 20mm is plenty strong and holds the filter very firmly against the box fan so ALL of the air goes through the filter but not so tight that it damages the filter frame in the process
If you want to make it wider or narrower you can scale the z-axis by itself in your slicer
And if you want to play with the model on tinkercad here's the link to import it into your acct. and do what you need to at least for as long as the link stays active that is:
