Adapted for 1/8" material.
Added psuedo hinges and a clasp thingy so the lid stays put while being carried.
Future remix refinements:
(Not by me. I don't need another one.)
- Consider scaling the project size up. It would be nice to be able to store standard letter paper in this thing.
- The internal compartments should be rearrangeable, and yet they are not. I don't know if that changed in a past remix, but it really should be fixed.
Notes for building:
- Start from the bottom up.
- Soften NAJMEDDIN's living hinges in hot water then put a rubber band around each one so that they dry with a curved shape.
- The internal compartments only fit in one way, figure that way out before adhering any top pieces.
- Adhere the top pieces with the lid in place (carefully so you can remove the lid later, of course).
- Apply the living hinges last. Super Glue works great to quickly hold the corners in place. Using a binder clip to hold the edges against the bottom handles really helps.
