I designed a tabletop bowling game that you can make in a Fablab using a 3D printer and a laser cutter.
I used the pin design from https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:385221
And the ball design from https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2077303
I scaled down those designs and cut the bottom of the pin in the file, so that is is more stable :
Pins -> 50 mm height
Ball -> 35 mm diameter
For the build, I laser cut 3mm plywood onto the Trotex Speedy 100 laser cutter.
When printing the pins, set filling to 100%, while when printing the ball, print it the lightest possible. Otherwise the game is too easy.
I found out that the best ball to play bowling with was a cork babyfoot (aka foosball) ball.
I also screw in some screws under the pins so that it would fit nicely into the lane, and speed up the process of resetting the game.
