Summary

STILL Electrocart for 1-gauge and LGB

The prototype:

These electrocarts where used widely from the late 1950s until the 1990s for transporting luggage, post and parcels on railway-stations in Germany. Italy, and the Benelux-countries. The manufacturer also exported some vehicles to Japan.
Some examples were also used in the industry.

The model:

The model is drawn for 1-gauge (1/32). The pictures shows a model printed in 1/32.
For LGB it can be printed enlarged with factor 1.5. This will give a scale of
1/21.3 but can be used with 3mm axles. If the model is printed with another
scale-factor the axles and rims must be drilled according to the size of the
axles.

Additional needed parts:

  • 2mm metal axles (3mm for LGB – size)

How to print:

The model is printed in usual PLA. The tires are printed in TPU. All parts are
printed with support “touch build plate only”. The front-axle is printed lying
flat, the rear-axle upside-down with the springs on the build plate.

How to assemble:

The handrails beside the seats should be glued to the chassis.

Note that the rims for the front- and rear axle are different.

Front-axle:

The front axle should be inserted turned 45° to side. It self-locks in
horizontal position.
