I laser cut the Gettysburg Address into a 8" x 12" Marble tile from Home Depot. I need a stand to display it. I took the simple IPad stand and imported the dxf into Visio. I then converted it to Visio objects and then shrunk the file down until the slot was 1/4 inch, the thickness of the acrylic. That happened to make it fit just inside the piece of acrylic. The slots also magically fit the width of the tile (.34").
I then added the image of Abraham Lincoln, even though he is hidden when the tile is in place.
Note Visio gave me issues when trying to cut it on a Universal (the printer so no lines to vector, just raster), so I switched the Epilog (yeah the Garage is awesome) and it worked fine, except the little bit that was out of print range, apparently. I did a quick .1 " cut to knock the piece out.
