Summary

This is my second project using an aluminum compound material, called aludibond. When carved from one side it can be bend like kerf cutting wood.

The futuristic design has been implicated by the usage in our pantry were we store a few apples and have a pretty narrow place. Even if the result is overkill for a pantry the function is exactly what was needed.

My build was done on a desktop cnc-machine by Stepcraft from 20 mm walnut / 14 mm birch plywood using a spiral-toothed 3 mm flute. The depth of the carve on the aludibond should be as deep as possible, but still keep a little of the black polyurethan for a nice contrast. On the wooden feet the carving depth can be adjusted to the width of the material.
