This is a spacer for the Z stepper motor on the Ender 3 V2.
This is probably compatible with other Ender 3's, though I don't have any other than my 3v2 to confirm.
I was unhappy with other designs that I came across, mostly due to lack of adjustability for correct placement of the stepper in the X and Y direction.
There are 3 versions- for M3, M4 and M5 T-nuts.
You will need:
4 x M3 bolts, 7 - 10mm long (I used 8mm)
4 x M3 washers
Additionally:
2 x T-nuts suitable for use in 2020 extrusion
2 x Bolts which fit the thread of T-Nuts
2 x Washers to fit Bolt size
Instructions:
Assemble the spacer & stepper- leave M3 bolts slightly loose to allow adjustment. Note: the stepper jst connector should be on the same side as the 1st layer
Add the T-nuts, T-nut bolts & washers to the assembly.
Slide assembly along 4040 extrusion to desired position.
Once good alignment is found in the Y direction (parallel to the bed movement) tighten the T nuts to lock the assembly into position.
Align the stepper in the X direction (parallel to the print head movement) and tighten the M3 bolts to lock the stepper into position.
When tightening bolts, ensure that parts don't move.
Done.
