This Thing contains four bookends, one each of El Capitan, Cathedral Rocks East, Half Dome, and Glacier Point as well as the various project files that I used to create them. The final merge of the bookend stand and the natural feature was done in Cura by lining them up and exporting as one STL then reopening in meshlab to get rid of the internal wall faces.
I got the data from the NASA SRTM and ASTER GDEM global elevation models, then used a tool I created for my business that allows me to select any area from the dataset and generate an STL from the elevation model.
