I started weaving recently and realised I desperatly needed a spool/bobbin winder. But bying one from ashford or other brands was too expensive for me. Fortunately I own one of those cheap china yarn winders (this one: https://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B00I1D0GLG/ref=as_li_qf_sp_asin_il_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1638&creative=6742&creativeASIN=B00I1D0GLG&linkCode=as2&tag=bleeptrack-21). So I made an adapter for my ashford bobbins.
Bobbin hole diameter: 5mm
When clicking to your yarn winder, make sure it sits correctly with the little metal nose fitting in the adapters conterpart.
It works nicely but sometimes tends to get loose. If someone has any ideas on how to improve the design, please let me know :)
