Hi folks!

I remixed one of the many y-axis bearing-blocks out there to fit M4 Screws (the original uses M3) and an 11mm x 5mm roller bearing each, used for rollerblades or skateboards. The bearing-blocks need roller-bearings with 4mm or 5mm depth, but it's quite obvious that bearings with more depth will fit too, they just extend a bit from the surface. Doesn't really matter.

The M4 nuts are self-securing due to the shape of the inner "chamber" for the M4 nut. Very easy to install.
You need to print 4 in total. So you need...

  • 4 bearings 11mm outer diameter x 5mm inner diameter (depth doesn't matter much)
  • 8 M4 nuts and screws in proper lengths (10mm or longer)
  • (optional) 4 short M3 Securing Screws for the bearing. Normally the roller-bearing is a tight fit, so you don't need them.

Note:
The drill helper plate is optional to print. Just for orientation. Print the helper if you need some instructions where to drill holes. Don't forget to double check if the space behind the wall you drill a hole in is not occupied. Stupid hint, i know, but I was nearly that stupid.

The bearings improved the stiffness of the y-axis a lot. Much less wobbling on fast prints.
Have fun!
