Summary

Yet Another Fidget Thingy:

Its a Fidget Spinner
Its a Top
Its a soothing worry stone / roller
Flip it like a coin for interesting gyroscopic motion
Misalign the rings and roll it like a wheel, and watch the middle ring realign.

I was inspired by many other captive ring toys and print in place models and decided to try my hand at making my own simple version. This prints fairly quickly, and can be a good benchmark test.

The tolerance on the standard versions is 0.4mm gap. The more tolerance version has 0.5mm spacing, just in case you are having issues with the other three.

I used some Plexus plastic polish to get the rigns really spinning well. A furniture polish might also work. Silicone lubricant may work, however some sprays discolor plastics.

( Most printers should not have an issue with the standard version. If you do, most likely you have some over extrusion issues. I was able to print on a CR-10 V2 without issues. But I had to reduce extrusion on an Ender3 to make it break free. So I was definitely over extruding on that printer even though I had set the e-steps correctly. )

Note for printing - These are positioned upside down so that you can see the previews for the center divots more easily on thingiverse. You will need to flip 180 to print without supports.
