Wall Plate for Mounting the Xiaomi Smart Doorbell 3S with a Flush-Mounted Wall Outlet.

I designed this wall plate to mount the Smart Doorbell in place of the existing doorbell and to use the existing wiring. Unfortunately, my existing doorbell was placed in a flush-mounted wall outlet. This means that if I had used the wall mount included in the Smart Doorbell package, the wall outlet would be visible since it is too narrow. Therefore, I designed a plate that I could mount over the existing wall outlet.

The project consists of two STL files. One file is for the base plate. This plate has space for wiring, two holes to mount the base plate to the existing wall outlet with two screws, and two holes to mount the cover on top.

The other file is for the cover of the base plate. This cover prevents access to the screws that hold the base plate in place, and on top of the cover, you can mount the included doorbell mounts. The holes are aligned with the base plate, so no additional drilling in the wall is needed.

October 2024 - Update

I have uploaded 2 more versions of the base plate. The first version might work a little weak so I improved the thickness in the second version. The third version has a slight different appearance but the thickness is the same as versions two.
