Summary

This is a quick printing faceplate replacement that serves three purposes:

  1. Provides more support on the cheekbone area so that the goggles dont tilt down on your face or put too much pressure on your cheeks
  2. Shaped to allow you to use Fatshark facepad foam, since the original Xflip facepad foam is probably falling apart now and there are no replacements available
  3. Provide shims to stop the light leak for those with narrower faces

Print in PLA or PLA+ on a 45 degree angle so that the print lines are horizontal/vertical on the faceplate.

It is a tight fit (especially around the eye cups) but wont fall off by accident. Put one tab of the eyecup clips over at a time and then the side clips should push into place with a fairly satisfying click. The faceplate will probably break before it comes off again, so may need to print it again if you are pulling it apart (or be careful.

I glued the shims on with E6000 and some clothes pegs to hold it in place (after the faceplate was attached to the goggle).

Added the Skyzone 04X Faceplate version as well - that one you can still buy the foam for....

Not much of the original I based it on is left, but its a great idea and works well.
