When I got my 3mm glass plate for my Anet A6 hotbed I wanted to set the Z endstop a bit higher to compensate. Even if I screwed the bed leveling screws all the way down the glass added too much height and the springs were super compressed. I didn't have my auto-level sensor yet.
I found NickRimmer's design (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1593629) and printed it immediately. Although it added some height adjustment, I still had to screw the bed down quite a bit, until I noticed that the bump on the design was too short to engage the Z endstop switch at the intended height.
I remixed his design by simply making the bump that hits the Z endstop switch long enough to hit the switch to add the correct amount of height. Now my bed level is raised to allow me to unscrew the bed leveling to a normal amount.
Enjoy!
