Summary

This is a modified version of the Mini Desktop Case for the Raspberry Pi 4 with the Ice Tower Cooler.

This version is designed to integrate the GeeekWorm X872 m.2 NVME Shield. It allows attachment of an internal NVME m.2 drive.

This case does not require the m.2 board to function. The m.2 board is not part of the structure of the case. So you can print and assemble the case and then add the expansion board at a later date - if you are having trouble getting your hands on the m.2 board (ETA Prime's caused it to go out of stock at Amazon).

This case may also work with the GeeekWorm mSATA expansion board which looks very similar.

This system may need to be powered through the barrel jack with an appropriate power supply. Especially if you are using the secondary fan.

This case is modified from the original version in that it is 12mm taller in order to accommodate the expansion board and drive. This required the redesign of the USB, HDMI, GPIO, and SD card side of the case.

There are three different versions of the HDMI and USB sides and the GPIO side has two different sides. There's some with bottom grills to allow passive airflow around the drive. There some without this grill. And then there's a third version with grills over the fan intakes - which you may want to use if you don't intend to use the secondary fan to prevent the appearance of a big gaping hole where the secondary fan would be.

The 40 x 8p5 spacer is intended to be used on the heatsink.

The 40 x 10p5 spacer is intended to be used on the secondary fan.

The case is intended to be assembled with 12 countersunk m3 x 8mm screws.

The structure part is intended to be attached to the Ice Tower Cooler and Raspberry with m2.5 x 6mm screws.

The secondary fan is intended to be attached to the duct with m3 x 22mm screws.

The spacer on the heatsink fan is intended to be attached with m3 x 16mm screws

But the GeeekPi fans come with m3 x 16mm screws that aren't useful for any other part of this build, so if you buy those fans, don't bother getting more screws.

These are the fans that I use with these cases.

But without the fan spacers, these cases can accept 40mm x 20mm fans. But they're totally overkill.

There's probably stuff I'm forgetting. If you have any questions, let me know.
