Summary

A set of tip-proof organizers for the game Wyrmspan. The prints are designed to nicely organize all of the materials from the base game, with space left over to be used for presumed future expansions.

The leftover space is designed to fit:

  • Another box the size of the “card box”
    • This can fit three full stacks of cards with a little extra space to be used however you want. See the current card box model to see what I mean
  • Another box the size of the “resource box”
    • This is the skinny box that holds the resources. The current resource box was sized so that you could fit an identical box on top of it and still fit within the base game box, including the resource box lid

All core game components are housed within the provided prints, with a few exceptions:

  • The score pad will sit loose in the box
  • The guild tiles will sit loose as well
    • I considered including space for these to fit inside of the card box, but decided it wasn't worth it. If you make a print to fill the extra space left for expansions, be sure to include space in it for the guild tiles
  • The circular first-player marker
  • The existing guild board, card display board, and round tracker board are intended to not be stored in the box at all, although you could still store them if for some reason you want to, they may just cause the lid of the game box to sit slightly proud
    • The guild board and round tracker board are replaced by 3D printed versions which have recesses to hold the player's tokens so they can't slide around
    • The card display board is just left out without a replacement.

The print uses 6x3 mm magnets. In all, 40 magnets are required for this set. I used these. (Tip: if you have difficulty removing the support material from some of the holes, you can use a 6mm or 5/64 drill bit to clean them out.)

I colored in all recessed text on the guild board and round tracker using nail polish, wiping the excess off with acetone. The acetone does mess with the print's surface finish a bit, but that wasn't a huge deal to me.
