Summary

This is part of a larger bunker system with other pieces still in development, however this piece can be used on its own.

This is a stand-alone Japanese WW2 Bunker designed for Bolt Action gameplay at 28mm. US Marines would have encountered large fortified bunkers such as this during the Assault on Tarawa or during the Battle of Peleliu. It is not historically accurate but it is close, as the design focus was on being simple, playable, and modular. Remixes, upgrades, and other such custom features are encouraged. Happy Gaming!

  • This is scaled for Bolt Action and is well suited for that or other 25mm/28mm wargames.
  • You will need to scale it down for game systems such as Flames of War
  • Scale it up about 10% for games such as 40k or Sigmar
  • Supports are suggested in the doorway and the embrasures (shooting holes) but maybe not required. I have not tried without.
  • There are two different roofs here. Sometimes a thicker concrete looks better
  • Other roofs are available for this bunker. Look in the Island Fortified Defense System collection for different roofs.

There are more pieces for this system in My Collections that can be combined to create a monstrous Island Fortified Defense System. This Medium Bunker connects to any entrance or hallway piece in the Island Fortified Defense System Collection.

DESIGN NOTE: The roofs are made to hang over the entrance or hallway connection by a little bit. This is on purpose. Along with being easier to pick up and put down, it is also why the hallway roofs are a little bit short, in order to accommodate this design.

  • The example prints were done on an Ender 3
  • Setting was .20 layer height using 3D Solutech PLA.
