I am a big fan of Nintendo and I think the Wii & WiiU are excellent, so eventually I was going to design something for them.
This being the first version, I wanted to keep it simple, low material usage, easy to print and no need for support material. Just the basics.
It's not perfect tho'. I kept the walls thin, which is fine with basic PLA but silks can be brittle; the trigger arch is quite a tough bridge but at worst you might get an errant strand, and there is always going to be the issue where pointing the wiimote directly at the screen will have the cursor a bit higher or lower, depending where you place your sensor bar. That is something I should take into account of in the future.
These parts print easy on a 200x200mm bed.
Unfortunately the pistol body is too long for a 150x150mm bed even diagonally.
I realise that these machines are getting old, but I still enjoy using mine. I hope there are others who might find some use in this design - maybe as a starting point for their own design...
Any questions, please just ask.
