I like this v3 spool version as rotating coils independently make unwinding easier.
But like many things in life I felt compelled to do several modifications of the original spool.
I had some silicon wires AWG 28/26/24 and take more volume inside the spool so I decided to redesign the coils. made them longer.
The end coil frames seemed to me a little flimsy(no offence) maybe best suited for attaching them on a pegboard. My pegboard is full, so I designed a round support to sit them vertically to take less space on my shelves.
I added also a printed butterfly nut it does not take too much force to keep coils tight, Bottom nut is going inside the bottom support so the spool will stand vertically stable.
I opted also for a different wire guide solution more solid, less prints and more simple in my view.
