Summary

A set of wingspan organizers.

Both STEP and STL files available.

Can fit everything from the base game and first three expansions: Oceania, Europe, and Asia, EXCEPT for the two extra player mats included by Asia. I opted to increase the card carrying capacity instead of allowing for 7 game mats. This design can hold 5 mats, or, as I like to keep it, all rule manuals, 4 mats, the duet mode board, and the organizers.

These prints are designed such that you would no longer carry the bird feeder in the game box. It is replaced by a dice rolling tray.

The lids for the Cards Boxes also double as (in my opinion, improved) replacements for the end of round goal card. They allow the goal tiles and player cubes to sit in recessed slots, so that they don't slide around if they're bumped.

A few of the pictures only show items from the base set + Oceania. However, this organizer does fit everything from the base set + first three expansions, as can be seen in other photos. The photos showing everything in the box are using this setup. Adding a 5th mat would make the items protrude ever so slightly from the top of the box.

The prints are designed to use 6mmx3mm magnets, which are super-glued in place (I used these ones)

The magnets allow the prints and their lids to snap together satisfyingly. 60 magnets are required to completely fill all slots in these prints. They all sit flush--just add a dab of super glue in each hole before putting a magnet in, then wipe off any excess that squeezes out.

NOTE ON ASSEMBLING THE MAGNETS: Keep in mind the orientation in which you would like the card boxes to snap together, as well as how you would like the dice box to connect to them. You may want the card boxes to snap together such that they are back to back, so that cards can still be easily removed from each. And it may be convenient to have the side magnets on one side of the dice box to face one direction, and on the other side to face the other direction. So that it can be attached to the card boxes no matter how you have their magnets situated.

The complete set of these prints would be:

  • 2x Card Boxes
    • Hold 357 cards each (see below for more info)
  • 1x Card Box lid - Competitive
    • Replacement for the green side of the round end goals card
  • 1x Card Box lid - Non-competitive
    • Replacement for the blue side of the round end goals card
  • 1x Dice Box
  • 1x Misc. Box (magnets to the top of the dice box)
    • Holds all 7 colors of player cubes, the round end reference card, and all round end goal tiles
  • 1x Dice Box Lid
    • Doubles as the 3-face-up-card tray
  • 1x Game Piece Box - Eggs + Nectar
  • 1x Game Piece Box - Food
  • 1x Game Piece Box lid
    • Has spots to put the first player tiles from both the base game and Asian expansion

This allows the following to fit inside of the original core set box (most of these items being stored in their own designated compartments:

  • Up to about 714 cards
    • the core set + oceania + europe + asia = 531 cards total. 426 Bird cards, 50 Bonus cards, and 45 other cards. Game creators have said that they expect all future expansions (of which there will allegedly be 6, including the 3 already released) to come to about 700 bird cards. This means that this set of prints could likely hold the core set + 5 expansion, maybe 6, with some of the extra cards being stored, for example, in the dice box, which is mostly empty currently, except for the dice
  • All dice
  • All food tokens (including Nectar)
  • All round goal squares
  • All eggs (if future expansions include more eggs and they no longer fit, they could likely be stored in extra space in other compartments
  • Duet Mode tokens
  • Score Pads
  • Game Rules

Note: Also included are some STEP models of other game components (such as a deck of cards or a folded player mat), which are simply for your use if you wish to remix this design and would like a model of the game box to fit your designs into.
