Was looking for a wind indicator for our team of mark layers who lay our marker buoys for sailboat racing. Found lots of wind indicators and printed them. All I can say is a lot of them just didn't work - those with trianglar arrows on the vane were just completely unstable and unusable. This one with the blunt nose was stable in use but lacked a handle - hence the remix. Had to draw it again from scratch and played with the infill to get the balance right.
Printed in PLA - the vane has 50% infill to make it balance. The handle is closed so the whole thing floats if dropped overboard. May need a little sanding of the pivot to let it rotate freely. The cap is glued on with a single drop of superglue.
Thanks to Aardvarrx55 for thre original design.
The yellow one is the final design with the closed base to make it float.
