Summary

Summary:

  • This is an eraser holder for standard pentel small premium hi-polymer erasers. These are commonly sold in three packs. One issue with them, though, is that they can be too small to handle, especially with limited finger mobility. This solves that issue by giving a bigger grip as well as having a complete mechanism that adjusts how much eraser is exposed. As the eraser wears down more can be pushed out while still being held in place.

Assembly:

  • Print both parts
  • Slide the backstop through the bottom shell
  • Using tab pull outward to allow pegs to click into place
  • Adjust to desired height

NOTE:

  • The prints are slightly undersized or oversized with bigger tolerances than required for higher-end machines. The bottom of the backstop may need a layer or two of scotch tape to help prevent unnecessary wiggling. If the eraser keeps slipping out, the same can be done to it; just be aware that the tape on the eraser will need to be cut once it is exposed out the bottom.
  • Ideas for having a mechanism holding the eraser in place nondestructively are welcome
