The file 'Whetstone Guide For DMT Sharpener System 3D Printer Model' is (stl,FCStd) file type, size is 1.1MB.
This is an adaptation of the shetstone guide from Isambard11 to my DMT diamond whetstones.
As these are quite small, I have optimized the design so that I can use as much of the sharpening stone's surface as possible.
I have included the CAD for sliders with other angles. All you have to do is enter the desired angle in the parameters spreadsheet. As I am not a designer, the CAD file is not 100% professional.
4x screws ~ 3x3mm (optional, 3x10mm are shown in the picture)
Easy to print. No supports or other stuff necessary. I printed it with PLA on a Creality K1 Max with 3 wall loops and 3 top and bottom layers at 15% infill.
Insert the linear bearings into the slider. Then insert it into the rods and insert them into the two parts. Optionally fix with screws.
To change the grindstone, move the slider to the short part. The underside of the slider is slightly angled so that the stone can be threaded in.
Finally, I would like to thank Isambard11 for the great design. The first whetstone aid that works for me as a beginner.
