Summary

For the Emperor!

These are the WH40K Purity Seal Magnets I made for a friend... and me. I scaled these to fit a superglued 10mm diameter X 4mm deep neodymium magnet in the back that I had left over from my Catan project (check out my other designs) - I bought them in bulk from somewhere like this:

20pcs N52 Super Strong Round Magnets 10mm x 4mm Rare Earth Neodymium Magnets

I have provided two file sizes, 2.5" diameter may look better proportionally to the paper ribbons, but for the sake of fridge space I did 2" for the picture shown. I printed in Hatchbox Black PLA and covered it in a few layers of red acrylic art paint, but if I were to be making a lot of these I would just buy a spool of red filament.

I have provided my own homemade Purity Seal ribbons in the form of a word doc, PDF, and JPEGS (4pages). I printed these out in color and then folded each page in half, Elmer's gluing the top to the bottom to make the ribbons double sided and more sturdy. If I didn't do this they would not have survived the artificial aging process, use your thickest paper, I just used standard printer paper.

This is the guide I referenced to age the paper ribbons:

Start by dripping coffee drops over the pages to create dark spots, dry the blots with a paper towel, then brush coffee over the entire page front and back to saturate completely, dry excess. Put watered down red paint on your springiest paint brush and flick it with your finger onto the page to create blood splatters. Use a brown colored wash such as vallejo, citidael or army painter to paint a darker border around each ribbon. Leave out to dry, then cut out individual ribbons in uneven lines to add to the effect. Use a candle to add singe marks to the edges (see Salamander ribbon), just make sure you have water on hand to put them out! I used superglue to attach the ribbons to the back of the seals.

These designs are for personal use only, you do not have permission to sell my work. If you want to give me a tip to support my current and future work: paypal.me/bradkpay
